Benjamin knew what formal attire was and he hated it. Hair in a ponytail, a dark-coloured suit, with the ugliest shirt tie to boot had him feeling nostalgia for all the wrong reasons. He hadn’t seen the point of looking so proper. If he was going to play as the rebel in Hoenn, shouldn’t he have foughten harder to get out of this mess?

This would end, eventually. To be frank, Benjamin hadn’t minded helping the little pup out, however, his Aunt never told him how exactly he was going to do that. And assisting a “pair of cute girls” had more tedious connotations than imagined. Especially when he already knew one of them. ”Yeah, yeah, yeah — we’re comin’ lady,” he mumbled, his NEWLY CAUGHT DEWPIDER at his side. It was weird not having any of his canines around him. He’d have to get used to it.

Without much warning, the Dewpider seemed to take charge. They hopped over onto the counter, beginning the order with the bubble on their head slowly spilling out a WATER GUN. Benji rolled his eyes. ”Viper, ya serious?! I didn’t tell ya to do that, yet!" A silent pause. "Eh, who cares. Person’s gonna drink this either way, right?” Benjamin shrugged. There was a star player at their stall and Benjamin was just fine earning participation points. He glanced at Selena. ”Oi. Sel. Lemme know if ya gotta any aliens invadin’ ‘yer stall. I’ll do better at beatin’ them than bein’ here.” Benjamin snickered.

Benjamin’s attention slowly shifted from Tara (thankfully, because she really didn’t need any of Benji’s “expertise”) in a simmer of rage, frustrated that his Pokémon was… wanting to work? ”Hey! Bubble-head! The Hell you goin’ now?!” Then, he crammed his hands in his pockets and proceeded to follow behind.

The Dewpider jumped in excitement, observing the rest of the creatures fall in position. Benjamin would stop to admit, the shaved ice being created was an endearing thing to observe, especially in the heat of the now. Feisty as he was, Benji never preferred the sun. Colder environments were always his go-to. ”Tch. Go ahead,” he reluctantly mumbled.

He grumbled, silently. ’But why do I gotta get shown off by own bug?!'

”Huh? Handle it?” In a way, the kitchen was getting to Benjamin, too. While Tara was working hard to find other volunteers, and Selena was exceeding in her leadership, the room turned and turned as he stood still. ”C-Course I can handle a dumb cupcake! D-D’ya think I can’t or somethin’?!” Truly, embarrassment was more apparent than his face of feint irritation. He leaned forward to the platinum-blonde woman with a slight sweat, his grouched form trailing towards the Cream Pokémon.

It only took a few moments before he realised he actually couldn’t, hands scattering to figure out where he needed to start first. With a slow curse under his breath, he threw his own Furfrou out with gritted teeth. The canine then advanced to hop up next to the Alcremie giving them their best Helping Hand. Looked like she was guiding them on how to DECORATE the sweet just right. Benjamin, in the process, desperately attempted to also give them his assistance.

Benjamin still had frosting leftover from the cupcakes on his fingers after hearing the sudden command. As both his Dewpider and Furfrou diligently continued accommodating the rest of the crew, it was, ironically, their owner who was alone licking off the messes he made. ”Aight, I get it. G-Gimme a minute lady, J-Jeez.” Benjamin couldn’t remember the last time he’d done this sort of work if there even was one. He swore he wouldn’t try to depend heavily on a familiar face in Hoenn. However, the thought of @kenzie sounded pretty damn good at the moment.

With a groan, Benjamin mentally said ’fuck it’ as he wiped the rest of the scraps on his apron, power-walking to search for something to bring back. That red-headed chick meant business. He would strive to return quickly — encouraged by the small fear in his mind if he hadn’t.

After setting the snacks and drinks someplace safe, Benjamin noticed that the kitchen was emptier. Some Pokémon were tired, others simply couldn’t do what the orders required. As if a lightbulb popped up inside his head, Benjamin snooped around the Gogoat and where the other next dish was being prepared. ” Wait a second. Yeah, I got somethin’ for this!” Not his “something”, but Valerio Dachev 's. Thoughtlessly, he watched as two creatures were summoned in front of him. It was a borrowed EXEGGUTOR and HITMONTOP. He had to back away from them for a moment.

Almost with a glint that Benjamin believed was ready to kill him. He flinched from the creature’s movement before observing it land a TRIPLE KICK, directing each of the DUGTRIO SANDWICH’s ingredients one by one in rapid succession.
